Science Based Targets at UNSW

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a fantastic partnership between the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide fund for Nature (WWF) to engage and support businesses across the world to set GHG emission reduction pathways to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement. However, educational institutions are not included in the initiative, meaning that those institutions aiming for a validated GHG emissions reduction pathway are unable to do it through the SBTi. As Australia’s Global University, UNSW is looking for educational partners to fund and establish an initiative to make this possible. If you are interested, please send an email to esbt@unsw.edu.au.
